Gosford Fire History
Like so many areas of New South Wales, Gosford District has suffered from a number of bush fire emergencies. Over time, many communities on the Central Coast have faced the threat of a wildfire and in recent decades some have experienced the extreme conditions of a firestorm.
The information contained within this section is designed to provide a historical archive of information, whilst putting into context that Australia is naturally a bush fire prone country and we as a community, must learn to live with fire.
Over the coming months this section will be updated with historical information and data so that the community may have a greater understanding of the major fire events that have effected the Gosford District.
